The pastoral staff may make you feel welcome for a moment and the greeters may welcome you for a second but in my experience I am usually just as alone in this big church as if I was at home.
1. the people claim to be Christian but yet they refused to give up the sins they love more than Jesus
2. This church does not do biblical accountability (Matthew 18:15-17)
3. This church needs to start preaching repentance and what it biblically means to repent, the sinners prayer is not how to receive God's grace
4. In their beliefs they think we are sinners by choice and by nature which means they believe Jesus command to stop sinning in John 5:14 cannot be done (I wonder if they know what repentance is)
5. this is in the beliefs on there website but the issue is no one today has the gift of prophecy today.
speaking in tongues simply means speaking in different languages by definition which I only know 1 person who speaks 8+ different languages not the nonsense which causes confusion today.
We do have gifts of healers but through doctors, nurses, nutritionists among other healthcare professions, the fraud going on in the churches does not exist
"While all the spiritual gifts outlined in the Bible are active today, we do not believe that every church practices every gift in every age. Therefore, we choose not to use the gifts of tongues, prophecy, and healing in our corporate worship services because we cannot ensure that the Biblical mandate of order can be upheld in large gatherings of people."
6. this church believes in Eternal security (the once saved always saved doctrine) which goes against Matthew 24:13 which says those who endure to the end shall be saved.
7. interesting they have in their church membership about church accountability Matthew 18:16 and 17 but totally ignore verse 15. by ignoring step 1 they create a worldly congregation.
8. this is a pro life church which I am happy to report they value life of the unborn but in my experience they do not always value the life of the born if you talk or look different from the congregation.
9. although they do agree that only qualified men are to be pastors of a local church they base it only on their denomination (EFCA) rather than biblically qualified men.
10. I did an outdoor audit and 2 guys tried to violate my first amendment right to take video in public making a false claim I was on their property, after I said let's see the recorder of deeds they backed off.
